The Department of Biology at Illinois Institute of Technology invites applications for tenure-track Assistant Professor positions. We are searching for candidates who will establish research programs with both computational and wet laboratory based thrusts in areas such as genomics, metagenomics, and GWAS. Those with applications to areas of medical or environmental importance are especially encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will have Ph.D. degrees and relevant post-doctoral experience in their research field and will be expected to contribute to teaching both undergraduate and graduate classes, and set up an active, externally funded research laboratory.
