Lecturer Position in Chemistry

The Chemistry Division at Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) seeks candidates for a full-time lecturer position starting August 2014 (earlier start date is possible and negotiable). Applicants must have a Ph.D. in chemistry. The primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate level courses including general chemistry and organic chemistry. Additional responsibilities include oversight and maintenance of chemistry teaching laboratory instruments. The initial appointment will be for one year with the possibility of a longer-term renewable contract based on performance and mutual satisfaction.

Postdoctoral Position in Chemistry

A postdoctoral position is available at the Illinois Institute of Technology, located in Chicago. Research will focus on improving the speed and accuracy of binding free energy methods based on implicit ligand theory ( The ideal candidate will have a background in computational/theoretical chemistry or physics (especially statistical mechanics), strong computer programming skills, and interest in chemical biology and drug discovery. A PhD is required prior to the start date, which will be between June 2014 and early fall.
