If you're working in industry or in research and development, then you know how hard it is to find good interns and co-op students for cutting-edge areas. One good way is to teach: You can pass on your expertise, meet good students, and get paid for doing it.
Applications are invited for part-time instructors in computer science. Highly qualified candidates from all areas of computer science will be considered. Commitment to excellence in teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels is expected. Applicants must have an M.S. or a Ph.D. degree in computer science. In addition, 5+ year software development experience in the IT industry is desirable. The ability and willingness to develop and offer courses in cutting-edge areas of computer science is a plus.
The department offers Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, Professional Master's and Ph.D. degrees and has over 600 students. The department offers courses at the Main Campus, which is located within 10 minutes of downtown Chicago and also at the Rice Campus, which is located in Wheaton.
