Co-Terminal Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry / Master of Science in Biology with Biochemistry Specialization

This co-terminal degree allows you to earn both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in as few as five years. A thesis is required. The program is administered by the Department of Biology.

If you want to do research in the food, consulting, pharmaceutical, defense, or other industries this program is designed for you. It also is ideal should you wish to continue research in a college or university, or if you would like to get a head start in graduate school.

You should declare your intent to pursue the degree as early as possible to facilitate advising. Formal admittance occurs after their third year of study, and you must have a grade point average of 3.3 or better.

You must secure a position in a research lab in your fourth year, and take BIOL 491 and BIOL 591 to complete your thesis.
